Beneath the Surface Healing

What is
Cranial Sacral Therapy?
Cranial sacral therapy is a gentle,
hands-on approach to supporting your body's natural ability to relax and heal itself.
Many people carry old patterns of tension or stress in the body, even without realizing it. These patterns can affect sleep, digestion, regeneration, or how good we feel in our daily lives.
Cranial sacral therapy creates the conditions for your nervous system to return to a natural state of balance, at whatever pace is right for you.
Using a light touch, we'll work with the gentle ebb and flow of fluid that nourishes and protects your nervous system from cranium to sacrum. Every system in your body depends on this ability to rest and repair, and when it's given the room to do so, you'll feel a lasting sense of relaxation, release, or ease.

Hi,
I'm Denise
Credentials:
-
Registered Craniosacral Therapist (RCST®)
-
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Association Member (BCTA/NA)
-
Specialized experience in prenatal and postnatal work
For more than 15 years, I've supported people in their wellbeing through a variety of bodywork and healing practices, learning from teachers around the world.
Today, my work centers on supporting the nervous system through every stage of life—from newborns to adults—using Cranial Sacral Therapy.
I practice a special form of Cranial Sacral called Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy. Biodynamic means that I let the body lead, working with its natural patterns and intelligence rather than using force to try and manipulate or correct it.
My training and certification are an important part of how I practice. I'm a Registered Craniosacral Therapist (RCST), a professional designation that requires extensive education, hands-on training, clinical practice, and ongoing study.

1) Arriving and Settling In
When you arrive, I'll welcome you into a calm, professional space at the Center for New Life, a larger healing collective where I have my private practice. I’ve created my office with intention, providing a comfortable environment where you can relax and find peace.
2) Begin with Conversation
I’ll ask about what you’re experiencing, not only in your health, but in your life as well. We may discuss chronic or acute concerns, stress, changes you’ve been going through, or anything else you feel is important for me to understand.
3) The Session
For the session itself, you remain fully clothed and lie comfortably on a massage table. Although we use a massage table, this isn't massage. Using gentle, non-invasive touch, I start at the feet and work upward toward the sacrum and head before returning down through the body.
Because I practice Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy, I also allow the session to unfold according to what I'm sensing in the moment. This means the sequence or areas of focus may vary from one person or one session to another.
Your Unique Experience
Your experience may be physical, emotional, subtle, or deeply significant. Some people notice sensations, movement, warmth, or an emotional release. Others simply experience a profound sense of quiet and relaxation.
Everyone responds differently, and there's no particular experience you need to have. For many people, it takes several sessions to begin noticing meaningful changes as the body has time to respond and integrate the work.
